Upon arrival at the Adventure Festival, register at the Water Sports Centre and receive your festival wristband. 

This location offers activities such as kayaking, stand-up paddling, yoga, water rescue courses, guided mangrove walks, and more.

Kalba Mountain Camp

The Mountain Camp consists of all land based activities, including mountain biking, hiking, horsemanship, workshops, yoga, an outdoor cinema, survival courses, ice baths and more.

  • What is the Adventure Festival?

This exciting event will bring together Dubai’s homegrown businesses, sports clubs, restaurants, and creators for a weekend of outdoor adventure and nature-filled family fun. Set in the stunning location of Kalba, Sharjah, the festival offers a wide range of activities for thrill seekers, fitness enthusiasts, and even those who simply appreciate the outdoors. 

From heart-pumping water sports, races, hiking and mountain biking to empowering yoga sessions and fitness programs. Fun-for-everyone art workshops, horse riding, astronomy, survival skill courses, and many more means friends and family of all ages and fitness levels can enjoy this one-of-a-kind weekend, challenge themselves and connect with the great outdoors.

  • When and where does the Festival take place?

The Festival takes place on 14 & 15 December in Kalba, Sharjah, one of the UAE's seven emirates.

Festival Hours are Saturday, 14 December from 9 AM - 9 PM and Sunday, 15 December from 6 AM - 6 PM.

There are two main locations at the Festival: the Water Sports Centre and Kalba Mountain Camp, each a short 12-minute drive from the other via the complimentary shuttle. Each location hosts an array of exciting land and water-based activities. 

Kalba is an estimated 2-hour drive from Dubai and 3-hour drive from Abu Dhabi.

  • Is the Festival family-friendly?
  • Absolutely - the Adventure Festival is made for families! With dedicated activities curated for both children and adults to participate in, and workshops teaching kids about survival and safety in the outdoors. 

  • Are there credit and debit card facilities available at the festival for onsite purchases?

At the Water Sports Centre there will be card facilities for any purchases needed, with the option to withdraw cash via the card machines. However, we strongly suggest bringing your own cash along for the weekend as there won't be any card facilities at Kalba Mountain Camp.

  • How do I purchase tickets?

Tickets are available on this website and can be purchased through a secure payment gateway. 

  • What tickets are available?

We offer Day Passes, Family Day Passes (for two adults and two kids) and Weekend Passes. There are also add-ons to stay overnight on 14 December at either the Water Sports Centre or Kalba Mountain Camp. If you wish to stay overnight, please book it separately from your day pass or weekend pass.

  • Are tickets refundable or transferable?

No, once tickets are bought, they can't be refunded or transferred. 

  • Is there a limit on the number of tickets per purchase?

No, you can buy as many tickets as you would like!

  • How will I know if my ticket purchase is successful?

After your purchase, we will send you a confirmation email with your tickets and all the other information you need.

  • How do I register for the Festival?

When heading to the festival, visit our Water Sports Centre, where you will register your attendance and receive your wristband.

  • What activities are available?

The Water Sports Centre offers several water-based activities like kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, yoga, functional training and guided mangrove walks. 

Kalba Mountain Camp offers an array of land-based activities, including self-guided mountain biking and hiking trails, horse riding, archery, rope courses, yoga, gymnastics, trekking, survival courses for navigation, fire making, shelter building and water purifying, ice bath challenges, art workshops, musical entertainment, astronomy, bonfires and an outdoor cinema.

  • Are there age restrictions for the activities?

Some activities will have age restrictions, information on these can be found on the Full Event Calendar for each activity,

  • Do I need to pre-register for any activities?

Activities that are included in the ticket price don't need to be registered for. However, if an activity is not included in the ticket price, you will register and pay for it on-site upon arrival. Please note that all activities have limited spots available and will take place on a first-come-first-serve basis.

  • Is there on-site accommodation available?

Yes, you can purchase an overnight pass and choose between three types of accommodations:

  1. Pitch your own tent at the Water Sports Centre
  2. Family rooms with bunk beds at the Kalba Mountain Camp
  3. Standard rooms at the Kalba Mountain Camp (inside the camp)
  4. Cabins just outside the Kalba Mountain Camp
  • Is the overnight accommodation included in my festival pass?

No, the overnight stay should be booked separately by selecting the overnight add-on under Tickets. Please note that if you booked an overnight add-on, you need to possess a day pass or weekend pass in order to get access to the Festival.

  • Which facilities are available with the accommodation?
  1. If you camp in your own tent at the Water Sports Centre there are shared bathroom and shower facilities available at the Centre. 
  2. If you stay in the family rooms at Kalba Mountain Camp there are shared bathroom and shower facilities available at the camp. 
  3. Each standard room and cabin has its own bathroom and shower.

Please note that is you stay overnight, you need to bring your own blankets/sleeping bags and towels.

  • Are there food and beverages provided?

Yes, there will be plenty of nutritious food and beverage options available for purchase! 


How do I get to the festival?

The registration takes place at the Water Sports Centre in Kalba, Sharjah. It's about 1.5 hours from Dubai and 3 hours from Abu Dhabi.

Is there parking?

Yes, there will be free parking at the Adventure Café.

How do I commute between the two locations?

We provide a complimentary shuttle that transports festival attendees between the Water Sports Centre and Kalba Mountain Camp.

Is the festival accessible for people with disabilities?

Most of the activities require some level of mobility and fitness, but there are also workshops and opportunities to support the activities. The Water Sports Centre is easily accessible, however, Kalba Mountain Camp may be difficult to navigate with wheelchairs.

1. TICKET PURCHASES AND REFUND POLICY

1.1. All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once purchased, no refunds or exchanges will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to inclement weather, change in personal circumstances, or inability to attend.

1.2. Ticket holders may not resell, assign, or transfer their tickets to any other individual or entity without prior written permission from the festival organizers.

1.3. Tickets are only valid for the date and time specified. Entry will not be granted on any other date or time.

2. ADMISSION AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

2.1. All attendees must present a valid ticket upon entry. The festival organizers reserve the right to deny entry to any person who cannot provide a valid ticket.

2.2. The festival organizers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove from the premises any individual who appears intoxicated, engages in disruptive behavior, or violates any of the festival’s rules or policies.

3. LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

3.1. Attendees participate in all festival activities at their own risk. The festival organizers shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained by attendees as a result of participation in any festival activities, including but not limited to physical activities, interactions with animals, or use of festival facilities.

3.2. By purchasing a ticket and attending the festival, attendees agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the festival organizers, sponsors, vendors, and staff from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of or in connection with participation in the festival.

4. HEALTH AND SAFETY

4.1. Attendees are required to adhere to all health and safety guidelines and instructions provided by festival staff. This may include, but is not limited to, wearing protective gear, following designated pathways, and adhering to social distancing guidelines.

4.2. In case of a medical emergency, the festival organizers will make reasonable efforts to secure medical assistance. However, attendees acknowledge and accept that they are responsible for any medical costs incurred during the event.

5. CODE OF CONDUCT

5.1. Attendees are expected to behave in a respectful and responsible manner at all times. Disruptive, abusive, or illegal behavior will result in immediate removal from the festival grounds without refund.

5.2. The festival organizers reserve the right to prohibit any activity or use of equipment that they deem unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.

6. PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING

6.1. By attending the festival, attendees consent to being photographed or filmed by the festival organizers for promotional purposes.

6.2. Attendees may not use drones, professional camera equipment, or other recording devices without prior written consent from the festival organizers.

7. CHANGES TO EVENT AND TERMS

7.1. The festival organizers reserve the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel any aspect of the festival in response to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to inclement weather, health or safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond the organizers’ control.

7.2. The organizers reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on the official festival website and will take effect immediately.

7.3 In the event of the organizers rescheduling the festival, tickets bought for the original festival dates will still be valid for amended dates.

8. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
